remembrance

A lot has happened since my last post.  If you’ve been following my Facebook and Instagram feeds, I have shared a few thoughts on some of what has happened along the way, but for the longest time, so much of it wasn’t my story to tell.  The very, very short version is that my dad was diagnosed…

maybe not nothing

maybe not nothing

Today was a good day.  I slept in a bit, treated myself to an hour and half at a local spa, came home and cooked myself an extravagant lunch, watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls, spent some more time cooking, and listened to great music.  It was good.  Quiet.  Nice.  Uneventful. And exactly what…

“A guide to grieving well.”  Couldn’t we all have used one the first time we encountered grief? (And every time thereafter?) Meet Happy
Simple Felicity is, at its heart, a blog based on the unshakeable belief that happiness really isn't all that complicated. It's often found in the simplest of things: good food, good books, and good company. So those are the things I write about, along with a few other things that really matter to me, including faith and feminism. A bit about me: My name is Happy. I have an amazing talent for misplacing my keys, a deep appreciation for whomever looked at the coffee bean and thought, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I roasted this?", and road trips to Michigan are pretty much my favorite.
