Oh! Welcome, Queen of Days!
How much you have been missed!
And how glad we are to see you now
with your skirts tucked neatly beneath you
as you sink slowly into your rightful seat
with regal grace and a smile of compassion
for us – this rag-tag band of wanderers
who have traveled long to await your arrival.
Oh! Queen of Days, reign now – reign
and teach and free and woo and heal us,
you whose presence is a gift and balm and sacred space
in whose fields we are allowed to run with abandon (joy!)
and in whose arms time slows.
Thank you for coming, most holy of days;
for your prompt and sure arrival.
We will keep, and remember you.
We declare your day a holiday,
…and we rejoice.
