I’ve written a lot about friendship over the past few years, and I’m not entirely sure that’s coincidence. Things have been consistently… well, shall we say challenging, for lack of a better word, and I’m not joking when I say that I don’t know how I ever would have gotten through any of it without the kindness, caring,…
Church has been the center of my spiritual and social life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest and happiest memories include sitting on the front porch, singing “Tell Me The Story Of Jesus,” and planting marigolds in the Sunday school garden. My childhood was filled with hymn sings, potlucks, choir…
As I mentioned last week, I’ve been reading Be You. Do Good., by Jonathan David Golden. I meant it when I said it’s been a fabulous read. The stories Golden tells about his work in Rwanda and the positive change that his company is bringing about in the lives of hundreds of people around the world are…
Choosing “fight” as my OneWord for 2016 was surprisingly easy – but the day-to-day practicality of living it out sure isn’t turning out to be. What am I going to do on the days when I don’t feel like fighting, or when I’m not sure what I’m fighting for? At the end of last year, the Female Entrepreneur Association…
Picking a seventh book for this series was difficult – not because I didn’t have one, but because there are so many great stories that have influenced my life. Choosing only one more was a challenge! In truth, I did choose it several weeks ago. And then I decided to re-read it. Which I did – albeit…
Thanks so much for visiting Simple Felicity! My name is Happy. I have an amazing talent for misplacing my keys, a deep appreciation for whomever looked at the coffee bean and thought, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I roasted this?", and road trips to Michigan are pretty much my favorite.
Simple Felicity is, at its heart, a blog based on the unshakeable belief that happiness really isn't all that complicated. Sometimes finding it can be - but happiness itself is pretty simple, and it's often found in the simplest of things: good food, good books, and good company. So those are the things I write about, along with a few other things that really matter to me, including faith and femininity.
Contact me anytime at simplefelicity7 (at) gmail (dot) com! I'd love to hear from you.
