being the church: thoughts on love and life together

being the church: thoughts on love and life together

I’m so excited to share this guest-post from my dear friend Maria with you.  Maria is one of the wisest, kindest, and most thoughtful people I know, and I love chatting with her.  I almost always come away with some new insight about what it really means to love God and love people, and I’m…

and this is love: reflections on friendship and being the Church

and this is love: reflections on friendship and being the Church

I’ve written a lot about friendship over the past few years, and I’m not entirely sure that’s coincidence.  Things have been consistently… well, shall we say challenging, for lack of a better word, and I’m not joking when I say that I don’t know how I ever would have gotten through any of it without the kindness, caring,…

Seven Stories That Have Shaped My Life – #4: the one about transparency

Seven Stories That Have Shaped My Life – #4: the one about transparency

Meet Happy
Simple Felicity is, at its heart, a blog based on the unshakeable belief that happiness really isn't all that complicated. It's often found in the simplest of things: good food, good books, and good company. So those are the things I write about, along with a few other things that really matter to me, including faith and feminism. A bit about me: My name is Happy. I have an amazing talent for misplacing my keys, a deep appreciation for whomever looked at the coffee bean and thought, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I roasted this?", and road trips to Michigan are pretty much my favorite.
