G R A C E God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense Riches At Christ’s Expense amazing. humbling. awe-inspiring. far too much for one mind to ever comprehend in this life and yet there are moments, glimpses, nanosecond-like times when for the fraction of an instant i get it. (i think) and then it’s gone, and again…

hospitable church planting

hospitable church planting

So ages ago I posted this on hospitality and what I was learning about it from Lauren Winner’s book, Mudhouse Sabbath. (I’m still learning.) One of the things she talked about in that chapter was how she felt her apartment just wasn’t right for entertaining well – she had a picnic table in her study…

sacred space

I lead worship for a bunch of 20somethings and college folks who are chasing Jesus with everything they’ve got on their best days (and still trying to on their less-than-great days). A couple weeks ago we did this thing we call “Sacred Space” – and I have to be honest with you – I poured…

liturgical life

Last night I was on the phone with a friend who was filling me in on how God has answered our prayers for some things in his life, and he finished off by saying, “God is good.” To which I responded with only a split-second hesitation, “All the time.” I could hear the smile in…

Meet Happy

Thanks so much for visiting Simple Felicity! My name is Happy. I have an amazing talent for misplacing my keys, a deep appreciation for whomever looked at the coffee bean and thought, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I roasted this?", and road trips to Michigan are pretty much my favorite.

Simple Felicity is, at its heart, a blog based on the unshakeable belief that happiness really isn't all that complicated. Sometimes finding it can be - but happiness itself is pretty simple, and it's often found in the simplest of things: good food, good books, and good company. So those are the things I write about, along with a few other things that really matter to me, including faith and femininity.

Contact me anytime at simplefelicity7 (at) gmail (dot) com! I'd love to hear from you.
