the one woman Christian men should marry

the one woman Christian men should marry

In December 2014, a pastor named Stephen Kim (of whom I had never heard) posted an article on his blog, nycpastor.com, entitled Ten Men Christian Women Should Not Marry.  It got a little bit of press in social media circles, but not much. Until he published a follow-up article: Ten Women Christian Men Should Not…

on why i became a feminist

on why i became a feminist

I remember coming home from a conference on cross-gender friendship a couple years ago, and calling one of my best friends from college.  “How’d it go?” she asked. “It was awesome.  I learned a lot…  oh, and I think I’m an egalitarian feminist.” She started laughing. “No, really.  I think I’ve been one for awhile, actually….

in which we (finally!) review Jesus Feminist

Jesus Feminist.  It took me months to get through this book – not because it was a difficult read, but because it was a great one.  I would read up to a point, and then I’d have to set it down and just think about it for awhile.  And then life would happen.  And then I’d pick…

7 Quick Takes Friday (vol.18): ball pits, coffee, and gender equality

Meet Happy

Thanks for visiting!

Simple Felicity is, at its heart, a blog based on the unshakeable belief that happiness really isn't all that complicated. Sometimes finding it can be - but happiness itself is pretty simple, and it's often found in the simplest of things: good food, good books, and good company. So those are the things I write about, along with a few other things that really matter to me, including faith and feminism.

A bit about me: My name is Happy. I have an amazing talent for misplacing my keys, a deep appreciation for whomever looked at the coffee bean and thought, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I roasted this?", and road trips to Michigan are pretty much my favorite.

Contact me anytime at simplefelicity7 (at) gmail (dot) com! I'd love to hear from you.
