I’m just going to apologize in advance for the amount of fluff that will probably show up in this week’s 7QT post. There are a lot of real things I could write about, but in truth, this week was probably one of the hardest weeks I’ve had in awhile. It was mostly full of disappointment, illness, and discouragement, and quite frankly, as someone who really prefers to live into her identity as “Happy” – I don’t particularly want to dwell too much on it. So I’m mostly going to just write about happier things, some of which may not be all that significant.
For instance: teenybopper movies. I saw both Lemonade Mouth and Ramona and Beezus this week for the first time, and oh my goodness…

(Breakthrough was my other favorite song from that movie, but I think the music and lyrics are a million times better than the video.) 😉
Those movies got me thinking about some of my other favorite music videos of all time (so far), including this one:
The artistry of this video is amazing, and I am pretty sure every girl in America needs to hear this song at least once in her lifetime.
And you know, now that I’m really thinking about it, some of the things I may have initially identified as “fluff” really aren’t all that fluffy after all.
If you actually watched all these videos, you just spent some valuable time listening to some amazing female artists thinking out loud about identity, dreams, beauty, and love.
All of which, in the end, probably matter more than a lot of other things.
